greetings readers!
gosh… i’m already missing the weekend. sigh…what away to start the week by working on a weekend, that too on a sunday night. okay, enough of complaining, life’s not all that sweet ain’t it?
says who? who said life’s that bad on you? we complain on just about everything. good or bad, blessed or not, even with a roof up our heads, warm clothings on a cold night(where’s my comforter?), a feast on the table (maggi anyone?), the list just goes on. as human beings, we mostly use of God given intellect to complain, compare, and compete with others all for the wrong reasons.
the oft repeated lines from any humanitarian work volunteers, that you must be lucky to at least have the basic things in life. but more aptly, we just treat those words as mere cosmetic products, and not as blessings. a perfect example, our daily prayers. we still think that since its OUR prayer, we should thank the lord for giving US all our needs. its always me, me and more me. no wonder we all love noodles. (sick, lame joke, noodles normally refered to as mee….rhymes with me….i know…lame….kick me!) its our own little ego trip that we all wont give up for, lets say, even if offered a million bucks in cash (wanna know why, because we’ll be rooting for another million after that! hehehehehehe, or maybe more…)
try this for a change. turn your ego trip into a major love-generator! how? pray for others. for people you dont know. dont have to spend a single cent praying for others, and you dont need to be a gazzilionaire to pray. just pray. maybe hard at times, and you might ask, pray for what? i’ll leave that to you. but by doing so, you’re already thinking out of your circle, to the unknown, and adding up to the generator called universal love. (by the way, i’m not from the 60s…so no hippy theories here okay!)
cheers. goodnight to all.
live long and prosper - vulcans, i think.
and whats with the jumping beans? i seriously have no idea. sounds good though….
plain ol joe….
