tipitty toeing on life, looking for takers!

xgreetings everyone!
question - why is it everytime we hear about a local movie bieng aired, we all get so hyped up on avoiding it like cancer? well, i’ve prodded many with this question, and i get similar answers from all. the common answer ? the script! so text book like…feels like watching a rerun of the cheesy TV Pendidikan (thats educational TV run by state-owned TV stations). with dialogues so picture perfect, its too sureal to believe. imagine, a grammatically speaking conversation in real life. i try to do it alright, but i sound like some character from blade runner…so cyborg like….funny, but it aint gonna work in real life. trust me…coming straight from a practitioner of the straight arts (whatever it is, just another crap term i coined up)
anyways, of late there’s a slew of well taken local fares with seriously real sounding script. so real, so natural, its like when you watch them, you’ll go "daymn……its like deja vu or something…" like this new movie, Gol dan Gincu, currently screening in major cinemas nationwide. a refreshing take on the common love triangle story infused with the current craze among sports lovers, futsal. its clever script, real delivery of lines, and natural acting makes the movie by a mile a better watch than some of the movies churned out by other movie industries. i think the movie steath was just another show of power and technology by you-know-who (think of an uncle with a three-lettered name to it, add some stripes, litter with stars :P) to the unsuspecting world.
sepet was another good movie. seriously good. and some of the movies from our friendly neighbours are quite good too….must watch it to belive ya’ll…
realism is at its best when its really expressed by people who’ve experienced it first hand…and by the looks of the people who’ve put a splendid effort there…its no surprise to what level it has taken. way to go! and yeah…have to watch that movie….i’m in it too…hehehehehe…my personal small tiny miny shot at filmdom….
oscars…here i come!
cheers!
