tipitty toeing on life, looking for takers!

greetings readers!
so, how was your valentines? roses? cards? chocolates? dinner? walks? the list just goes on and on. while many celebrates this day as a time to express their love, some just dont see the point in all these. i’m one of them. dont get me wrong folks. read on. and tell me what you think later.
i’m not an anti romantic folks. i love it. to me, love revolves whatever we do, every second of our lives must be filled with love. you should know that by now, if you’ve been reading the plain joe diaries (if not, you can obtain plain joe’s next bestseller : what’s more in life? from kakikayu bookstore, cckl). being a fish, naturally, i’m a lovey dovey person. okay okay, enough of self flattering. so, for someone like me, when love is all around us every single seconds, why need a special day to commemorate it? if every second of our lives is filled with love, why single out a 24 hour cycle and tarnish somethnig so pure?
whoa, valentines ain’t tarnishing anything, pretty strong you’d say. but think about it. valentines has been exploited by the business to become one of the most profitable times to sell nature. hah! caught ya! bought flowers lately? and during valentines? burnt your pockets? alongs coming after you? should have thought about it first.
say, lets do something revolutionary here. if its just one day that traders exploit, betcha they can’t do it 24/7 right? so, its simple. lets make everyday a valentine!
you see, its romantic to have a day to commemorate your love. do it, by all means. but make sure its special. mean what you say, and mean what you do. and live it up for the next days to come. from days to years, and to death. love doesn’t start and stop on a single day. its not a programming function. its a sustainable gamut of emotions, an energy source so powerful, you must keep it for the rest of your lives. and its not limited just to repaltionships between a guy and a girl. channel it out to your parents, neighbours, siblings, friends, teachers, the common street dweller. to everyone.
fill your heart with love, and shine your love to everyone. love will shine at you back, most of the times from the most unexpected sources, and at times when you’re really off guard.
well, i hope i didn’t paint a negative picture on what i’ve been thinking. i’m too, waiting for love to rear its beautiful sight on me. and i’ll wait. even if it takes a whole lifetime. because, its worth it, worth every single minute spent waiting for it to return without any expectations. as someone use to say, life is short, and we have a whole life time to realise it and make the best out of it.
everyday is a valentine! smile dude!
cheers,
plain ol romantic joe
